Regaining Opportunity – Community-based Health and Hygiene
Jaqueline, a widow, was given a treadle sewing machine and is now able to provide an income to support herself and her three daughters by sewing garments. She has learnt how to make sanitary kits to enable girls to continue at school. During the pandemic Jaqueline has sewn face masks for her community, using patterns shared over the BCYD computer internet and printer.

Regaining Opportunity – Transport
Through a private fundraiser, REGAINED was able to provide Bethel City Youth Development Community Based Organisation with a five- seater motorbike transporter called a tuktuk. The purpose of the tuktuk is to provide a business income for BCYD and to serve the community during the time of the pandemic and beyond. This includes the transport of people and goods to and from market and more importantly, the transport of sick people to access medical services.

Regaining Opportunity – Communication Technology
With the impact of COVID and limited face-to-face training opportunities, REGAINED is facilitating access to online community education and training through the provision of computers, a router and printer to Bethel City Youth Development Community Based Organisation. We hope to provide opportunities for online training in Reproductive Health, basic business and computer skills, agriculture, First Aid and other areas.
